Visits & appointments
What are your opening hours?
Our Amstelveen showroom is open by appointment only. That way, we have all the time and attention for you — no queues, no sales pressure. Appointments are available Monday through Friday, and on Saturday mornings. We’re closed on Sundays, though we’re often reachable via WhatsApp for any questions.
How do I book an appointment?
Send us a message on WhatsApp (+31 6 15 54 61 06) or fill in the contact form on our showroom page. We’ll find a time that works for you and confirm your appointment in advance.
Do I need to tell you which watch I'd like to see?
Yes, please. When booking your appointment, let us know which watch — or watches — you’d like to view. We’ll have everything ready and waiting the moment you walk in. You see exactly what interests you, with all the time you need.
Do you have a display case I can browse?
No. Our showroom works differently from a traditional jeweller: there’s no display case to walk past. Every visit is personal — the watches you request are prepared for you in advance. It’s a deliberate choice: security, discretion and full attention for your selection.
Where is the showroom located?
You’ll find us in Amstelveen: Stadsplein 103 · Van Heuven Goedhartlaan 13D. Easy to reach, with parking within walking distance.
Can I view several watches in one appointment?
Absolutely. Torn between a few models? Mention them all when booking and we’ll lay them out side by side. Some comparisons you simply have to make in person.
Is there any obligation when I visit?
None at all. Every appointment is free of obligation. Come see, try on and compare — decide only when it feels right.
Are the watches in stock?
Yes. We keep over 350 watches in stock. What you see in the collection, we can have ready for you in the showroom — no waiting lists.
Buying & payment
Can I order online?
Yes. Every watch on xelorwatches.com is available to order directly. Prefer to see it in person first? Book a showroom appointment — always an option.
Which payment methods do you accept?
Online, you can pay with iDEAL, Wero, credit card or bank transfer. In the showroom, we accept debit card, credit card and bank transfer (in advance or on the spot). Partial cash payment is possible by arrangement, within legal limits.
How are your prices determined?
We work with market-based pricing. What you pay with us is what a watch is worth on the market at that moment. That price can be higher than the brand’s retail price, and sometimes lower — it depends on the model, condition, completeness and demand at the time.
That way you always know where you stand: no inflated list prices, just the real value of the watch you’re buying.
Can I reserve a watch?
Yes. If you visit within a week, we’ll reserve the watch for you free of charge. Want to hold it longer? Then we ask for a 10% deposit. Get in touch via WhatsApp and we’ll arrange it right away.
Do you ship watches?
Yes — always free of charge through our webshop, fully insured and with track & trace. We ship with FedEx and DHL, both within and outside Europe. Every watch is carefully packaged before it leaves our door.
Can I collect my order?
Of course — by appointment at our Amstelveen showroom. You can try on and inspect the watch before taking it home.
Is the price negotiable?
Our prices are market-based and sharp — we deliberately work with small margins, so you don’t have to negotiate to get a fair price. Large discounts are therefore not possible: the price you see is almost always the price. That way everyone knows where they stand.
How many straps and links are included?
Exactly what you see in the photos and in the description of the watch is what you receive. If the brand includes a second strap as standard (as with some Panerai and Cartier models), it is mentioned with the watch. In doubt? Send us a quick message with the reference and we’ll confirm right away.
Why is there no VAT on my invoice?
Many of our watches are sold under the margin scheme — the standard arrangement in the watch trade. No VAT is itemised on the invoice and no VAT can be deducted. This is fully compliant and has no effect on your warranty or ownership. An invoice in your company name with your business details is of course possible; just let us know when ordering.
Do you ship outside the EU, and who pays import duties?
Yes, we ship worldwide — always fully insured with FedEx or DHL. Within the EU there are no additional costs. For deliveries outside the EU (such as the UK, Switzerland or the US), local import duties and taxes may apply; these are for the buyer’s account. Feel free to ask us in advance what applies to your country.
Selling & trade-ins
Does Xelor buy watches?
Yes. Looking to sell your watch? Fill in the sell form with photos, the model, reference number and your asking price. We review your request and usually respond within one business day with a proposal.
How does the valuation work?
We work with firm prices, not vague estimates — so you know exactly where you stand. The offer we make based on your photos and details is the amount you’ll receive. One condition: the watch must match what’s shown in the photos.
Things we can’t see — pitting in the crystal, missing links, hidden damage — can affect the price. If everything checks out, the price is the price.
Can I trade in my current watch?
Yes. Trading in against a watch from our collection is possible. Let us know which watch you own and which model you have your eye on — we’ll calculate the difference transparently.
What should I bring when selling my watch?
The watch itself and, if available, the original box, papers and warranty card. A full set increases the value. Please also bring valid ID — we’re legally required to register it for purchases.
Do I get paid immediately when selling?
Yes. Once we’ve agreed, the money is transferred to your account immediately. No waiting, no uncertainty.
Can I offer my watch via WhatsApp?
Yes — it is even the fastest route. Send photos of your watch from all sides and of the warranty card (front and back) via WhatsApp (+31 6 15 54 61 06). Our buyer assesses your watch and you receive one exact price. Prefer a form? Use our selling page.
Which photos do you need to quote a price?
Photos of the watch from all sides — dial, case, bracelet and clasp — and of the warranty card, both front and back. The more complete the photos, the faster and more certain our buyer can give you a final price.
Can the offer still change later?
No. The price we quote is the price you receive — we do not renegotiate. One condition: the watch must match the photos at the showroom inspection. If there is, say, a chip in the crystal or missing links that were not visible in the photos, we will review the price together.
Do you also provide valuations for insurance?
Can I sell or trade in my watch on the spot during a showroom visit?
Only if this has been discussed with us in advance. Our buyer assesses your watch beforehand based on photos and needs to be present for the sale or trade-in himself — and he is not usually at the showroom.
Visiting to view a watch and hoping to trade in or sell your own watch on the spot? Without prior contact we unfortunately cannot help you with that. Please send photos of your watch via WhatsApp (+31 6 15 54 61 06) in advance. You will receive one specific price and we will schedule your appointment so that our buyer is present.
Warranty & authenticity
Where do your watches come from?
From suppliers and from the brands themselves. We buy watches in packages — which is how we keep a broad collection in stock, with no waiting list. We also buy watches from private owners.
Every watch goes through the same authenticity and condition check before it enters our collection. Where it came from makes no difference to that.
Are all watches 100% authentic?
Yes, without exception. Every watch Xelor offers is verified for authenticity before it enters our collection. We sell original watches only — it’s the foundation of everything we do.
Do I get a warranty on my purchase?
Yes. If the watch still has active manufacturer’s warranty, you benefit from it in full. Has the manufacturer’s warranty expired? Then Xelor provides a 12-month warranty.
Do watches come with box and papers?
It varies per watch and is always clearly stated on the product page. “Full set” means: original watch, original box and original papers. If anything is missing, you’ll know upfront — no surprises.
Do I receive a certificate of authenticity?
We don’t issue a separate certificate of authenticity — and you won’t need one. We are specialists in our field, and every watch is thoroughly inspected: movement, case, dial, serial numbers and papers, before it enters our collection. That’s something you never have to worry about.
Can I come to you for service and maintenance?
For watches purchased from us, you’re welcome to come to us for service and maintenance. In practice, we often bring the watch to the brand itself — so going directly to the brand is usually the fastest route. Not sure? Send us a message and we’ll think along with you.
What is on the warranty card and has the warranty already been activated?
With new watches, the warranty card is stamped and dated at the moment of sale by the official dealer — the factory warranty runs from that date. The exact card date varies per watch; feel free to ask us.
